Default whuts this button for?

ok all, while randomly looking around my car i found this button, under the steering collum, its a small black button but when i push it it doesn't do anything, i have an '03 S2000 could it have something to do with the alarm? but wheni push it it doesn't even give any indication its been pushed. whuts this majic button for? AHHHHH

About a year ago there were some threads about it. I believe it is related to the alarm. Try a search. I've got a 2000 without the alarm and don't have a button.

ok i now realize this is the valet switch, but i still don't get it, how is it used? does it deactivate the alarm when it is going off? or do you push it befor eyou leave the car. i don't understand

Sorry my post is of no help here...but I had to post. I can imagine pushing the button and all four tires falling off or something .

score figured it out thanks all! Stupid ejector seat button, that wishes it could be a stock NOs button but is really a stupid vallet button

Its for the alarm, it is the valet switch. I can't remember how to use it. I'll look it up in the book later for ya.
