Why I Love My S2000
I think some of you know that I got my s2k in January of this year. I've always wanted to get one, but never had a chance until recently. I've also driven convertibles before, but never a s2k, and never thought I could live with one.
So, fast forward a few months... now I can honestly admit that I'm in love with my s2k.
I don't care if anyone else knows! Everytime I get in the car and start driving with the top down, I get this stupid grin on my face like I used to when I had my Daytona 675. It's that sense of freedom, the feeling of wind blowing away your precious few strands of hair left on your head, the sun burning your skin and trying to give you a melanoma, birds trying to shit on your head, etc., etc.... I wouldn't trade for anything in the world.
Then, there's the autoX events and the HPDEs that I've done recently. What can I say??? I love the way the car handles, the way the gears click from one to another, and the way your instructors get a bit scared when you're driving on a race track.
There's also this great forum. I've met some great folks on here and hope to meet many more...
I wish I had gotten this sooner, but as the saying goes... better late than never. Now, I can't imagine living without my s2k. Someone I met at a recent autoX suggested that I give "her" a name, but I don't think I'm that freaky yet.
We shall see. I hope everyone else on this board enjoys their S as much as I do. I hope this never ends!
Calvin.
P.S. I don't do drugs or take prescription medication!
