Default winter wash

so it was nice outside, sun was out, mid 30s, so i thought it would be a good time to wash all the crap off my car that the winter has thrown on it. started alright excpet my hose was still stuck to the ground. then to find out there was some water still inside the hose and that froze! 20mins of melting ice inside a hose, im finally ready to get started. well 5mins into the wash...WHERE DID THE SUN GO?!

after it all, good for the car, bad on the hands because i cant feel ANYTHING!!

the end results with my mom's FIT

crappy point and shoot camera

You're supposed to turn off the water going to your spigot, disconnect the hose, and keep the spigot open during the cold months... to prevent your pipes bursting and/or situations like this... just FYI

lol I took my buckets inside and filled them with some warm water, but of course I used the cold water first until my hands were gone.

Yesterday I just drove up to one of those coin-op places and used the high powered soapy water spray, then the high-powered rinse and let the car air dry. In a pinch, it'll do. The only reason I did that was that the one day I decided to drive it, I got bombed by a bird with dysentery. Other than that, it was more dusty from sitting in the garage than anything.

I'll give it the proper detailing job it needs once the weather warms up.
