Wow, this never happens.
So I guess now I can share in everyones' plight. Well sorta.
I live in a very rural section of upper Baltimore County. I mean you have to drive 15 minutes to existence. Nothing EVER, and I mean EVER happens out here that is in any way crime related (at least where I live).
I still always park my S2000 in the garage anyways and barely drive it. I come home very late from being out last night and was too tired to park the S2k inside, which is a very rare occasion so I say screw it and wait till morning.
I come outside to find out that my other cars were broken into at some point during the night but the s2000 was not touched! My beater Jetta was messed with, the handle on the glove box snapped, my bag was stolen out of the back seat (which didn't really matter because they only made off with about 50lbs of paper applications for work that were in it). They oddly enough didn't take any of the change out of the cup holder which was in plain view or even mess with the headunit.
They did manage to make off with a iPod though from my sisters car which was left at the house overnight
I'm not so much pissed about the fact stuff was stolen, that can be replaced. I'm just more aggravated at the fact I felt violated. I mean honestly, who breaks into the car and doesn't take anything?
At least the s2k escaped unharmed. Stupid kids. At least they were dumb enough to not know how much my seats in the s2k were worth.
Still, FML.
Please remember to lock your cars and get alarms.

10 views before my post...and no condolences to the general nature of crime against the property of another S2000 owner? Wow
Glad your S came out okay. Definitely can't assume any place is safe, huh?
The only 'alarm' I wish folks could safely install on their cars would be a 10K volt zapper that'd cause the perp to sheit his britches when he pulls on the door handle

Thanks Dave,
I have a Clifford 2 way responder in my s2k with proximity, etc. I'm surprised it didn't go off.
I think i'll just hire these guys.

That was a hilarious ep
(but then again, when aren't their eps funny?!).

Maybe they didn't touch yours because of the Clifford? Do you have any sticker or blinking LED indicating the alarm? Is there a warning chirp? My old DEI alarm had a quick *beep beep* if you were about to trigger the shock sensor. If you backed off, it would not completely engage the alarm.
Sorry to hear about this, still, Ibe...
