There is a diff between the s2000 year's brake lights. I believe when Co jeff and Skip traded 3rd brake lights they had to do some cutting to fit them.

 

my car was an 02 and that fit perfectly in my cf trunk. so preferably an 02 3rd brakelight but i guess i could get others to work without too much trouble.

 

yeah I dunno, i just recall them having a problem. I think a dremel would solve your problem. Just giving a heads up!

 

I think the AP1's and AP2's are different. AP2 is bigger IIRC

 

The '02 and up 3rd brake lights are different from the first two years. No cutting is required though to my knowledge. The only time it really comes into play is when you're installing the Mugen 3pc spoiler as it was designed during the early years. I am not aware of a second size change starting with the '04's.

As pertains to Jeff's, the original owner of his 3rd brake light is w1ngman. Dave traded me when I needed one to fit the spoiler on PrincesS.
