Default WTB: Short Throw Shifter

Maybe you have one you never got around to installing, and would like to have some Christmas cash instead? If not, then perhaps you can point me in the direction of where to purchase [a decent] one.

Best Regards,
- Dave

Yep, Moddiction is the best choice at the moment. If I ever get the car up again and you venture down this way I'll let you try it out.

I didn't have any problems once I got used to it.

Steve, I may be getting a Axial Flow SS. Based on posts by other owners of this particular [no loner produced?] short shifter, the throws feel vey 'mechanical'...which I interpret to mean they feel notchy. Should be able to report back once installed.

I believe this is the one I had. Coupled with a countersunk knob, it was very notchy, but not really a problem once you get used to it. The same could be for different clutches.

Had this one a while back but later sold it.
It does shorten the throws but add some whine to the interior cabin.

I've seen others post about noise from these... Of course, after I install one, I'll know for myself (assuming my cabin succumbs to the same noise)...but I'm at a loss to appreciating why replacing one for the other would create 'whine', etc. Outside of creating the leverage for linkage shifting...I'd think the 'part' is relatively passive. What makes short shifters noisy?
