Is the AP1 2000-2003 models while the AP2 2004 onwards?

Is it only the facelift change or does it also involve the 2.0 - 2.2 modification?

So when websites talk about parts which fit AP2 models is this applicable to 2007 S2K in the GCC?

 

face/buttlift.. ap1's come with 2.0 and ap2's with 2.2 but we get the 2.0 version of the ap2 here in GCC..
so by searching in websites you look for ap1 model or 2.0

 

+ AP2 stuff still works if its japanese because japan didnt get the 2.2 until 2006. (but dont buy mugen ap2 headers, they were made for 2.2)
u can basically get whatever u want, so dont confuse urself if u like anything. it fits.

the only tricky things r superchargers and turbo kits.

 

Yeah this is quite tricky. Ap2 at most places is 2.2 apart from facelift++ and some places it is 2.0.

Hi - slightly confused, my engine tag says its a AP1 F20c, its a 2008 model. Is that the norm in GCC? Reading the above i thought it would say ap2 f22c?

 

We still get the F20C AP1 in 2006+ cars but with AP2 exterior, interior, dbw, vsa, etc.

 

As they mentioned it is a bit tricky. the engine is ap1
