Hey guys...will be selling my 05 accord and picking up the 08 s2k soon..finally!

Iv got this kenwood in dash slide out touchscreen HU, was wondering if it wud fit into the s2k without cutting the dash? talking about that small lil place under the AC vents..any try it?

Also, how long should i be driving it stock before i think of modding? nothing too fancy, just the minor tweaks...

 

i havent seen anyone able to install a in dash sliding screen in their S2000. Hope all goes well with selling your accord and welcome to the club

In the oem radio slot?? thats one long flexible thin screen

 

thats the thing...i dont wanna start hacking into the dash of my new car!!
i guess il have to get rid of it and put in a normal boring HU..

as for selling the accord thats gonna tke a while cos i need to get all the dings out from the A$$holes who open their doors like their in an action movie :S

 

You could get a JVC HU (forgot its name) which has a screen ON the HU.
Or one of those rear view mirror monitors, they sell those at our Honda dealership lol.

 

those suck...i was thinkin abt the jvc with the tiny 3.5 inch screen on it..but the thing is...ITS TINY

 

Keep the same Headunit and just upgrade speakers and tweaters. If you changing the headunit then do get something which will get adapted with the harness (For you to use dash controls)

 

i have some kickass components already..rear speakers doubt itl go...but the screwup abt the head unit is...it slides out...den raises itself like a dude doing a sit up....den slides back in..n i dont think the S2k has enuff place where the factory HU goes...which is why im confused n i wont know fr sure till i buy the car, take my HU out n actually try...so jst wonderin if sum1s already tried..its the newest kenwood touchscreen wit the ipod connection n the nav etc etc etc....

 

oh wait...did u mean factory head unit? like the original s2k one?
