Default Damnit!

Hey guys

Wife was driving the S (yes I know thats stupid, but she is now getting used to the exedy clutch and loving the car) and it just stopped accelerating

After about 1 second inspecting, found that the throttle cable has snapped. Got it towed to Honda, only to be told that a new Throttle cable will be 2 weeks!! 2 WEEKS!!!!

Has anyone got one?? (i've tried Umair but he has dissapeared again!!) I can come to Dubai and collect.

Thanks in advance. (It's an AP1 BTW)

did you check the dealer in dubai? they might stock them. if not...you can order it and have it shipped in a week.

question?: how in hell did you manage to snap the cable?! haha, that takes talent

they checked with Dubai, none in UAE at all

Am having it made and shipped from japan, will take 2 weeks, just wanted it sooner

The wife broke it, not me, but I think it was set pretty tight for responsiveness so was just too much strain for a 7 year old cable!

i once called them for an exhaust manifold gasket, they said they dont have any and will take time to get it...so i decided to go there myself.

walked through the parts center door, big smile on my face " i would like an exhaust manifold gasket for my s2k pls!"

the dude walked towards the back and in a wopping 30 secs, came out with one! haha

let me know if you need help finding one ready made and ready for shipment. you can use my shop'n'ship account. get it here in less than 10 days

Parts from TE can be a bit of a joke. Have been waiting over two weeks for parts for the NSX which were marked 'urgent'.

I seriously suggest you get it from elsewhere and not TE because though they say two weeks it may turn out to be even longer - and then you'll really be annoyed!

Shop n' ship is good, but from the States it takes a while because of lack of flights/cancellations sometimes. But yeah, 10 days is a good estimate by the Termite.

had my AEM intake delivered from time of order to doorstep delivery in 5 working days!! that was quick, rare, but quick. i guess it all depends on when the supplier sends it to your shop'n'ship address.

i ordered the intake on monday morning, aramex got it tuesday morning, shipped on wednesday got it on sunday! i was shocked!

http://www.aramex.com/shopandship/default.aspx

create a new account, it might take a few days to get everything sorted. they will call you, visit you to fill out the application form, accept payment etc. but it IS worth it
