hello everyone, i will be on my way to live in turkey for 2 years towards the end of this year. the issue i have now is that I have no idea what the inspections and emissions testing is like over there, and the only information i can find looks like trigonometry written in pig latin... is there anyone that has moved from the states to turkey with a modified vehicle? preferably a turbo'd s2000 for reference. mine has the GReddy turbo kit with e-manage blue. I need to figure this out to decide if i want to ship my vehicle over or if i need to buy a cheap beater for my time out there. also, since I have your attention, if any of you are in the area of Incirlik or Adana, how is the car scene out there? do you have any trouble getting parts or support for this great hobby of ours? thanks for your time and please help me, any and all help is appreciated

congrats on the move.

I think if your car passes in the US, it will be fine in Turkey - more likely will be a ban on mods, such as there is - sort of - in Dubai. Plus you need to figure in the tax and shipping, and things like a fog light might be required too

For a couple of years it might just be worth picking up a deal on arrival, or buying in Europe and driving it back.

There was a guy on here with a mental wide body blue s2k that lived in turkey, so Im assuming the smog etc will be fine. You might want to hunt him down and speak directly over PM. He had a for sale thread in this ME forum so should be easy to find.
