Hey guys!

I'm seeking assistance on an accounting oriented research paper I am currently doing. I would like to ask a few questions to anyone with any accounting knowledge. If you do not fit the bill, do you know anyone who does?

My thesis is, "Accounting issues in exponetially growing emerging economies". For those with accounting knowledge, places such as Dubai, which has been experiencing drastic increases in economic commerce has recently adopted IFRS for the Financial Center; however, did not apply the standards to the remainder of the city (or UAE as far as I know). I am trying to learn what standards, if any, are being followed to create the mandatory financial reports. I would also like to hear of first hand accounts to following these standards, if possible.

My principal area of focus is Dubai and the rest of the UAE but am interested to hear from any of my fellow middle eastern s2k'ers that can help.
