I found this nice comparison test of four different tires (Bridgestone Potenza RE-11, Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec, Kumho Ecsta XS, Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08) here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tests/TireTe...tirePageLocQty=

Rather then the Direzza get the RE11 much better tires plus you will get disappointed with the Dunlop after a while. I do not like Dunlops due to the number of blow outs I have had with them That is 3 blow outs and none by Bridges.
Had Dunlops (SP Sport) on my previous BMW and had a series of blowouts, twice it was due to the tyres delaminating from the inside! Both times the dealer replaced them under warranty, but only after trying to charge me a part-payment because I had used the tyres for a month or two without noticing that they were getting ready to try to kill me!

Need four tyres for my '04 S2k and am reluctant to go for anything that isn't in stock here (one puncture will mean 1-2 weeks waiting for a new tyre to arrive). The Sumitomos are getting a lot of positive feedback; is there a better tyre (non-Dunlop ) that's consistently in stock in the UAE?

Are you saying that I should go to PTC for Dunlops, or was that for another brand? Really don't want to run Dunlops ever again
