What is A car
Well since its been silent here for a while i would come to say what is a car.
In the past a car used to be a machine that gets from A to B or to perform a certian task. Now a days a car started to become a show or used for a sport or used to Get from A to B, ect....
So just to get a topic going what is a car to you. And what do you think the best car is since there is alot of competion those days.

a car to me is just a piece of junk that moves on 4 wheels and some of those junk can go fast and some can carry more ppl... etc.
sometimes the car reflects the owners personality...
the best car,, in each category there'll be a best or best cars,, there is no such thing called the best car,, but it is possible for a man to have a favorite one like 3 years ago the s2000 was my favorite car

I agree - there is no - 'best car'.
Ther might be best in class but cars are so subjective to personal opinion.
In a perfect world I'd have a number of cars to meet my varying requirements.
Range Rover for off roading
Maserati Quattroporte for cruising
Aston Martin DB9 for general stuff
Lotus Exige for hooning around roads
Radical SR8 for track days
I think that should do it

Asterix - what, no S2000!?!?!
For me, a car is something that you are comfortble in and are happy to be in as well - especially in UAE traffic - as long as you are enjoying your time in the car, it's done its job.
But I would agree about there not being a best car. I would aswell have a roadster, a track day car, a luxury sports car and an off roader - all would have to be easily 'modable' btw, as the bug would continue with me through all my owned vehicles!

A car is more than just transportation for me...
A. My car has to offer as much value and satisfaction as possible given my budget because I'm not rich enough to change it every couple of years
B. My car has to be fast and fun to drive yet reasonably comfortable to sit in when I'm stuck in traffic.
C. My car should be of a high enough quality/level of design so that I can still appreciate it after I've gotten used to it.
D. It has to be something a little special so I will still smile each time I drive it and look over my shoulder in the parking lot even after newer and better cars arrive in the market.
As far as dream cars go, I think I could get by with just 3 cars even on an unlimited budget: A Bentley Continental Flying Spur for the road, a Range Rover Defender for off the road and an Elise for cheap thrills
So I got the R32 because it's the best mix of Bentley and Lotus that I could think of, and afford.
