Default Clearing out the sidemarkes/diffusers

I was thinking about changing some things on my S next month. I was wondering if in Kansas it is legal to have clear sidemarkers or diffusers. I remember reading through some stuff legal stuff about what you can and cannot do to your car in KS, and there was a lot of garbage about certians lights being amber or certian colors. I really like the look of JDM sidemarkers and diffusers on silver s2000, I just wanted to get your guys' opinons on this. Would it look bad to have clear sidemarkers and amber diffusers? JDM sidemarkers with silvervison bulbs are pretty cheap. If you live in the KC area and have done changed your sidemarkers and diffusers can you post pics? and have you had any trouble from police with them?

The color of the sidemarker does not matter. The color of the "blinking bulb" does. The bulb must blink amber to be perfectly leagal. Don't know if you will be ticketed or pulled over if it is not.

Am from St. Louis, so I'm sure the same regs would apply.

Check sig for pic of side marker

Wasn't around when 8BALL did this install. I heard it was somewhat "involved" but easy. Here's an install guide from Ricks pdf guide

Was pretty easy especially with instructions rehile included above. Plan for about a 2 hour job. I would also suggest 2 people as an extra set of hands comes in handy when prying the light apart.

Like 8ball said its not the clear marker but the bulb. Just to be safe stay with the amber. I have the clear marker with a clear bulb that blinks amber. They are available you just have to find them.

I had no problems with mine. Did you get the clear bulb that blinks amber? I think that is the best looking.

I have the clear sidemarkers with the clear blinking bulb. That was the way rick's sold them. I believe he now includes an amber bulb with them. If I had to do it again I would order the smoke lens with the amber bulb. I have never had a problem with the clear bulb but at the same time I use a home-made liscense plate I think the smoke diffusers look really nice (c 8balls car) but the install looks like a bitch!
