I have been trying to figure out for months why the KC group has fallen off, and we were never as active as say the Gateway group is...but we still did a couple activities a year. For about a year, I kinda took a small break from the car scene and had to do a major overhaul on my personal life...so my focus was my friends and family. Now, I have more time for my S2000 and getting together for some S2000 meets. Angel (Z06KILR) and I hang out on a regular basis, but its really easy for us because I can pretty much hit a golf ball from my deck to his backyard. We usually hit the Plaza on Sunday afternoons if I am off, Old Chicago for brewskies...and even have had some fun at high speeds around KC.

The biggest thing is its going to take each KC member taking the initiative to say 'Hey, why don't we do this on this particular day' and post it up to gather interest. Nobody is posting, nobody is attempting to plan events. Its gonna take EVERYONE. I am open to ideas! I love the car, love hanging out with those who feel the same way.

 

I agree..... But i need to know where Everyone is located so i can pick a spot to meet where it is most convenient to meet up. I'm up for it and willing to meet some new people who love the same car as I do. So... where is everyone located? lol

 

You know I live all the way in Omaha, but I'm willing to make a trip on occassion. The best time for me is Saturday afternoon or night. That way I can stay the night there, and go at it again Sunday. Give me enough notice, and I'll be there.

Omaha guy here as well. My work schedule changes every week and I usually work most weekends cause I work for Nazis.

 

I def know CJ is willing.... lol ....... Most of the s2k owners live in Kansas parts like Lawrence and Olathe. So I think we should meet somewhere around Kansas city and waste gas around there. Theres Crown Center parts and WWI memorial and stuff like that. But I don't really know my way around those parts.

 

I'm going to the Metallica concert on Oct 25th out there. Maybe some of you would be interested. Should be at least 5 of us.

 

Well, the perfect solution to inactivity is activity in the next meet of the mid-west (Fall MOM08) ride!!

CJ, I called you the other day but got your voicemail. A few of us will be in Omaha on the 4th of October for the All that Remains concert. If you like that type of music you should come with us. Tickets are $16!

Also, Metallica in KC on the 25th!

 

Seriously guys...there are TONS of drives and get-togethers, but very seldom get any exposure here because people simply don't attend the events.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr....how do we give the KC board a good jump start?
