Default Greetings!

Greetings, Kansas City Club, just got an S2000 yesterday. I've researched them for years and have been waiting for just the right vehicle to come along. 2001 Silverstone/red.

I'm 33, married, no kids, live in Lenexa.

This is my 4th car. Here's the history so you know where I'm coming from:

1st car: 1981 Trans Am
2nd car: 1990 Integra GS
3rd car: 2003 Civic Si

My first impression? It's great to have RWD again!
Second impression? It feels so natural to drive...in retrospect my past cars have been so "numb."

Anyway, I look forward to several years of S2k joy!

if you have photos of your ride post them in the owners gallery thread, you might have to flip back a month or so, we need to get that thing active!

Welcome. Look forward to meeting you in the near future. Have you ever driven a rear wheel drive care in the snow? It is a blast in a parking lot but not in rush hour traffic. If this is your daily car I would suggest getting a cheap set of used wheels and some good snow tires. Steve.

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome.

Yep, I drove the V8 RWD for 7 years...all the way through college. Plenty of snow experience. Also yep, hope to get some snow tires for the winter. When you say "used wheels" do you mean S2k wheels? Or are there cheap steel wheels available?

Of course a hard top would be nice for the winter...but $4,000 is a little silly. For now.

he was referring to getting a set of spare oem S2K wheels and mounting a set of snow tires....

Due to the light-weight of the S2000, it is pretty hard to get them to move in snow....
