HELLO!
I moved to KC via, Des Moines, Omaha, and Las Vegas. In all the moving and travel the last few years my s2k has taken a beating. Including while living in Omaha my top was knifed as some cock tried to break in.
I was curious if anyone knew someone or someplace to install a new top. Also the car needs to be repainted. Any local tips would be greatly appreciated.
Im glad that KC has their own club, and some enthusiasts by the looks of the cars. I am certainly wanting to get my baby back up to speed by spring next spring, and hopefully get to meet some of you folks! (that black "hatchback" hardtop looks sick!)
I checked the "spotted" thread to see if anyone posted they saw a berlina AP1 with torn top, but didnt see it. I would have been rather embarrassed!
I also have some warranty work that needs to be done, the plastic that covers the gauge cluster cracks from the bottom up, its the second time it has happened. The first time it was fixed without question in DSM, where I bought it. Any reputable Honda dealers here? Or do I need to call AHM?
Anyway im glad to be here, and I hope to get a KC tag on my sig.

Second, with regards to the top I highly recommend Mid-America Auto Interiors in Shawnee...it's off 87th street. They did a fantastic job and really took care of me.

It's no secret who I recommend for dealer work, and any work on a Honda, and that would be Tim Herron at Lees Summit Honda. He knows cars outright, but especially Hondas, and especially the S2000. He is a Honda Master Tech with 10+ years experience, and I challenge anyone to find a better man to trust with your Honda. I get some grumbles every time I suggest him to a poster wanting to know where to take their car....and I can't understand it - I will pay dealer price for quality work - and in your case you get warranty coverage and Tim will take good care of you.

Anyways welcome! You will definitely want to get yourself fixed up and attend every single meet you can, i think i've only missed 1-2 since May and i've very glad that i decided to get to every meet i possibly could. You'll meet so many crazy Honda guys/gals who instantly treat you like familia.
Oh and we're all crazy about our Honda just like you!
