Default Moving to KC area

Hey folks! I will be moving from the Twin Cities down to the KC area this month. Going to be two moves as we sold our home and are renting until we find the place we really want. Holding out for some acreage and trees and room for a big shop outside the KC area (most likely on the MO side) but for the next 2-3 months will be in the N suburbs of KC. Look forward to meeting more folks down that way and catching some autocross and of course track nights at Heartland

We actually lived in NE OK (about 25 minutes from Joplin MO) until about 18 years ago, so are not totally unfamiliar to the area.

Hello! Glad to hear of another S2000 owner coming to the area. More specifically, the the north part of town. I live in the Liberty area, and I do know there is an additional S2000 owner right down the street from me. I am about 15 minutes from downtown, 20 from the stadiums, 15 from Zona Rosa. Highly recommend making this part of the KC metro a permanent residence as it has many redeeming qualities and few flaws.

Holler when you are here, would be happy to connect.

Sounds great! The temporary spot is near the Smithville area.. Will definitely try to get out and meet up once we are down there. Grew up about 20 min south of Joplin, MO and went to college in Pittsburg KS so know the area pretty well, although did not spend ton of time in KC as it was a few hours away. But spent enough time to know my way around at least

Lived downtown for several years. Now in the KS burbs. Housing costs are much cheaper in MO so I suppose it’s good you’re staying in MO from that perspective. Lots of cool things happening north of downtown. Welcome to KC!

Super. Keep in touch. I know my NY resolution for this year is to actually get my S2000 out of the gosh darn garage, hoping you and others can help me do that.
