NEED HELP
i was hoping someone in the area might be able to give some help i just got Buddy club N+ spec coil overs put on and now i the front end sits to low to clear front tires... i extended them all the way.. what is wrong?
This might be a stupid question, but did you adjust the pre-load, or the height?? There are two separate collars, (well actually 3, but one is a lock collar) The upper one in which the spring rides on is for the pre-load (the one right below it is the lock collar). Then the collar that is at the bottom is for height adjustment. Some people mistake the pre-load adjustment for the height adjustment.
ok hear the deal i had them installed and then took car to get the wheels aligned. i could alrdy tell the car was too lwo on front but i figured the alignment guys would handle that. well an hour or two after i dropped it off they call me and say that they cant do it cause they cant raise the car enough... i had the stock wheels on so i took them my other set work emotions specs 16x7 +35 F and 16x8 +45 R and hopped they could make them fit... so far not so good. so i went up there looked at it and asked them the same thing. if they were adjusting it correctly and yes they were but still all the way up the front end is barley off the ground.. its crazy i have no ideas
I believe you have to turn the coilover sleeve independently of the shock body. There is a lock sleeve that sits where the shock body meets the threads of the coilover sleeve. You loosen that and then you turn the actual threads away from the shock body. You wont be messing with the perches for the springs at all.
