Default S2000 Gathering

Hi all,

Just wanted to gauge the enthuisiasm for hosting an event at our sister Honda dealership.

Lee's Summit Honda is a very proactive dealership. We have had many "Tuner Night" events that featured many different makes.

It grew so big that last year we had to ask the Highway Patrol to help with the traffic and street racing that occured out front on Colbern Road. We wanted everyone to be safe so we were left with no other option. A tragic accident would have been bad publicity.

This event would be catered by Hy-Vee and have major radio support. Trophies and other awards would be handed out.

What do you guy's (and Ladies think)? Could we get 30+ S2000's there?

Also, what timeframe do you think we need for maximum support?

On a side note, we could also set up an I-70 Speedway event that same night. We would all get 5-10 laps around the oval in front of 300-500 fans. The last lap being a 2 car drag at the starting line.

We had a Subaru event a few months ago and it was a blast! Bring your helmets and put the top down.....

I will never forget it as long as I live. My only regret was getting toasted at the line by an STI.

P.S. I didn't get beat because of my racing skills. I got beat because I was looking at the wrong guy dropping the flag. Still bitter.......

Heck yea! I think we could get 30+ S2Ks... as long as the costs are kept to a minimum and with plenty of notice (2-3 months).

I was thinking sometime in early November. And there would not be a cost associated with the event. It would either be on a Friday evening from 4-6 pm or a Saturday between 10 - 12 am. The laptime out at I-70 Speedway would most likely be on a Saturday evening around 7pm so that day seems to make more sense. It would be nice to have the event from 4-6 pm on Saturday however that is usually when the dealership is at its bussiest time. I will get back to you on the if I can make that happen.
