Also,
I've been profiling small investment banks around the country. It seems most of the CFO's or top.. how do you call it? traders? either have a CFA or an MBA AND CFA (some are sitting for L2 or L3 though).
So maybe I should still go the CFA route, along with an MBA?

ibankers do not manage money.
you need to figure out what it is exactly you want to do. if you want to go into private wealth management, portfolio management, or hedgefund, cfa is good to have.
if you want to get into ibanking and become a lifer, then you would need your mba. if you just want to get into a 2 year program and leave, then you do not need an mba.
research the difference between the banks. understand the difference between a boutique bank and a bulge bracket and what each one specializes in.
you should concentrate on a high undergrad GPA just to get your foot through the door anywhere. get an internship too if possible.
like i said, buy the vault guide.
another book i would recommend is the "color of your parachute"
a $50 dollar investment in books on how to land a job and vault guides could be a better investment than an MBA. there is information within that schools do not provide.

cfa is for people that manage money.

The thing is, I DON'T know what I want to do. IB seems very interesting, but so does money management (hedge fund, etc...), and also, so does Corporate Finance (Analysis).
I'm trying to find internships, but won't be likely to get one until next summer, or the summers after that when I transfer to a 4 year University in Fall '11.
But I would like to experience all the different fields I would like to go in before making a decision on career path and post-graduate work, but as of now, it's hard to find. So I'm asking around to find the best insight possible

if you have any doubt about IB, you do not belong. understand most in ib have been plotting their entry since 5th grade knowing that 80+ hour weeks are standard.
Also, I'm with you on the wishy washy. I didn't care much about college my first two years, so now I'm on a 6-year plan to graduate instead of 4

Were you able to get a hold of the professors/deans at the Finance department at Fullerton, magician? Or have any advice as to whom I could contact?
I've been swamped, and just got back late Monday from a ten-day vacation: we drove to Idaho for a horse drive.
I still haven't gotten to over to CSUF.
Sigh.
I'll try to get there later this week or, more likely, early next week.
Sorry for the delay.
