Default Taking Chance

I just finished watching "Taking Chance" which is currently running on HBO.

PVT Chance Phelps was killed in Iraq in 2004.
Marine Lt. Col. Mike Strobl volunteered to escort the remains of Phelps home to Wyoming.
In doing so he was touched by the respectful response he met by many on the way and wrote an essay on the trip.
Friends read it and forwarded it on the web.
Eventually it became this movie where Strobl is played by Kevin Bacon.

The movie is nonfiction, respectful, apolitical and very humanist.
I highly recommend that everyone find time to watch it while it is making the rounds.
It is very touching and have a full box of tissue.

Please do not corrupt this thread with political commentary.

the Wiibow is still there!!! the old body doesn't recover like it used to. not sure what to do

I do need to get a new alarm clock though, my old one has a mind of it's own and the time would be 5 hours ahead one minute and 7 hours ahead an hour later!

If it's bad enough, see an ortho guy....they have nice big needles filled with cortisone just for you.

Gobble Advil like it's M & M's, ice it down, and the best thing is to quit doing what aggravates it for several weeks.

If you need a second opinion, ask Jerry/boltonblue. He is the resident tendonitis expert.

Lainey, I'm guessing you don't want the 'I told you so' sermon?

Nah....I'll pass. In my defense, I didn't have simple tendonitis.....

Saw the doc today. We both feel I've improved, not 100% but he tells me this impingement is chronic thing.(My friend required surgery) The pain could come back again. If so, he'll have that cortisone shot ready for me. In the meanwhile, more PT and at home exercise, in the hopes of keeping the scalpel at bay.
