Do you have huncentric rings for your rims? That could be a cause also

 

Nope, dont have them on the S...Id be willing to give them a shot....

What Ill do is swap my stock wheels on, try them, and if there is no shudder at high speeds, Ill try the hub rings and the alignment

 

I'd check the tire for pressure, nails and anything else first. this car is very finicky..

 

Tire pressure is good...no nails....good balance...I dunno.

I can't for the life of me think of anything else it could be.

As far as I know Shawn's car hasn't been in in accident so I doubt it's a bent suspension piece. Tires are in balance so we know that's not an issue and I doubt his wheels are bent as that's something the tire shop wouldn't noticed when they balanced his wheels.

Lack of hubcentric rings on aftermarket rims are a very common cause of vibration on s2ks with aftermarket rims. Most rims are made to fit a large selection of cars causing their center bore to be bigger than the s2000s hubs. We actually ran into this on Jimmys (LVGPwhite) volks. After he got the rings from discount the vibration was gone.

Actually, someone did hit his front quarter panel a while back while he was parked at work.
