Big open space to practice in?
I'm looking for a big open space to toss the S2000 around in.
I have had the S a tad over 6 months now, and have yet to really push it beyond the limits. Part of this is due to me not knowing the true limit on the car and not wanting to get myself in trouble.
I mean I've driven it fairly hard (for the street, I feel), but not to that scare me point of too much. I've broken the rear end a tad loose on a turn and of course it's fun but doesn't really tell me how much more I can go (safely).
Is there a space/parking lot in the Vegas area where I can practice low/medium speed cornering without getting in trouble? I don't want to go fast, but I do want to learn how much I can give it before it will spin.
Thanks everyone.

Take valley view, down to sunset in the south part of town. Thats where we used to street race. Doesnt happen much anymore, but sunset goes west off vv and its wide open down there. You can practice all night and theres even some dirt on the pavement in some spots for varying traction circumstances. This is where ive taught many s2k driver what the car can and will do in different conditions.

Yup. wait till you get down there, youll be stoked. After 10 at night, its DEAD down there. Nobody around. Many of the drift guys use the area also.
My only fear on open roads like that is a friendly police officer jack hammering me in the ass.
Though I guess a big open parking lot wouldn't be any better, right?

Where's the Hall monitors of the Las Vegas section to tell him ah thats stupid and immature to do lol or auto-x is the perfect spot to learn how to drive your car lol. But I usually go find some warehouses and play around for a bit then I leave so I don't get introuble.

I just want an open area where I can push the limit of cornering to see how the back end feels when it really steps out. It doesn't take a lot of speed for this to happen.
^ Hey let me know if you wanna do this I'll join ya! I need some release by driving 'normally'.
04 S2000-> Yes, it is always a good idea to go the legal route. But unfortunately, we do not have the $$$ enough for us to do any of those. Helmet is expensive, track days are expensive, and going to a more fun track days are expensive too!
-> Me and TrboLag are looking for cheap fun, thats it.
