What do you guys pay for 6 month premium?

i have been trying to find a good quote for auto insurance.
the best quote i can find right now is $1700.00/6 months.
i was paying $1000/6 months in Cali. what's up with Insurance
out here? Em i missing something?

if anybody has better rates can you fill me in on who your using?
I only have 1 point on my record from a traffic violation in
May of '03.

 

Try American Family Insurance. They insure my car and I have unfortunately been in two accidents. I pay about $375 under my mom's name, but I am also younger than you. You shouldnt be $300 a month with only 1 point. Good luck!

Las Vegas is considered a High risk area... Even with a clean record, when I moved out here (From California) My insurance rated just about doubled... and I was driving a Mostly silver Toyota Tercel at the time!!!

I pay about $100/month through Progressive. Then again I'm an old fart who never speeds and has no points so it might not be a fair comparison.
