its a number trick. 9,14,15,and other numbers have the same symbol. there are only a few number that u can get. pick 12- 12-3=9 Pick 13- 13-4=9 pick 14- 14-5=9...etc..

yep, Mustang1075 is right on, just a mathematical trick. All the correct answers have the same symbol. The symbols changes for the same number each time too!
