Default HELP!

Hey guys what is this part? It got broken in the car accident. It is located behind the bumper on the drivers side. Reason asking is cuz it through a code.

If I'm not mistaken, that's the air pump; helps to control emissions.

Yep thats it and it makes sense cuz the car has a really choppy idle and had a supper hard time starting. Thanks

I think thats the turbo!

ps... I hate that stupid thing, triggers like 5 cel's if you take off the whole secondary air

Better take a closer look, air injection doesnt affect idle, or startup character. may have some wires shorted there, that power that AIS.

AIS = air injection system.
If you have a rough idle, or hard start, you may have some shorted wires back to the ecu.
Keep us updated as to what you find.
