Default Help please...my s2k disabled :(

On my comptech blower, it has a small braided oil line that goes from the blower to the VTEC mounting block. It was leaking, so I got a new one from comptech. I took the old one off, applied some thread sealant to the brass fitting that the oil line goes on to, tightened, and that connection did not leak. But BELOW the fitting it goes on to, it is leaking now. I think I may need a 11-13mm deep socket to tighten the bottom fitting...IF it is actually screwed on there to begin with..I am hoping someone can help..of course I can't drive the car anywhere....if you can help, please call me @ 448-3995 Thanks!

a deep 11 or 12mm socket, somewhere in that range I think..thanks david for looking for a socket! If I can't get help on this, I might just break down and buy a deep socket set, and HOPE that that is the part that is loose and causing the leak.

You can also buy individual sockets, just another way to cut cost.

bah, deep socket was good, but the bolt is too close to the supercharger and the thickness of the socket was too much, and I couldn't get it to fit around... 1 week later, car is still disabled...good news? I should have my regular daily driver back in comission today to drive... I really have no idea what to do about this. I'd hate to have to tow the car to a shop just because of this oil line

DId you get a 6 pt or a 12 pt socket? Sometimes that can make the difference in getting a bite on the bolt. Also, the cheaper the socket, the thicker it is usually Is there a way to get any sort of wrench on it from underneath maybe?

You could try PM'ing Dave (S2000nvegas) and seeing if he has any ideas.

What part of town are you located?

blue diamond and decatur. I got a 12 point, its all they had anyway in a deep socket. I didn't ask dave, and I live on Blue Diamond and Decatur. Yeah you cant get to it from underneath. It's nestled on top of the blower against a "nook"
