Default Last PDX of the year

The last of five Reno Region SCCA PDX and Time Trials events in 2011 takes place at Reno Fernley Raceway on Saturday October 08.
We will use Course "B" for this event. This is the fun track for our car more technical than Horse power. If my schedule open I might be an instructor (no $$$ to play).
Here is my lap back in 06. I just bought the car in September and track them in December.

B is the outer perimeter of the track so you utilize the straights and the technical parts of the course. depending on how many instructors they have or need, I may try to instruct instead of racing. I know of a couple ppl that will be racing for the first time. I'll be at this one for sure.

I plan on being there for this. Just need to get some track pads/rotors

Will they broom stick test me? If I run top up do they ignore the fact with a helmet on I'm slightly above the boom stick test?

Where can I sign up and pay in advance?

MotorSportsReg.com

from what I've seen if you are running in the beginner or intermediate PDX they aren't as harsh as they are with ppl in the advance or CT and TT

Well out of the so far 4 events this year I went to the first 3 and everyting was cool for the first 2. Just needed my helmet but I never raced with the top down and I was good but before the third event I learned that in order to race you would need to use arm restraints if you were going to have your top down, Sure no problem I never raced with the top down. But at the actually event they said I must have the top down and in turn have an arm restraint on the outside arm (driver left arm, passanger right) and for that reason I did not go the 4th event. So I don't know I might be at the last event. I will post on the scca website and see if they have figured out what they want to do. I do not want to race with the top down.

Sometime they want top up other time they want it down. So depend on the official that day how he read the rules?? Summit Racing have lot of arm restraints less than $30 last time I check.

Alex let go out and run Clone next weekend. Rob want to try it. Let me know what time and what day is good for you.

Last track day I had to go top down, even thought it was hot as shit, they also made me and my instructor wear the arm restraint. Those things suck. The whole reason I went to that event was to test my underpanel to see if I could get any higher speeds in the straight. However with the top down it defeated any any increase in aero I gained by using a full underpanel

Its a like a mini belt that goes around your arm, the other end loops around your seatbelt. It limits how far your outboard arm can move towards the left side of the car.
