You don't have to be on the east to make good food. Its all about the person and the ingredients. There are some good surf spots on the east coast too. They are only breaking maybe once or twice a year. Outerbanks in NC is an alltime beachbreak that has been featured in many surf videos. I have seen great footage of jersey and even NY. Its rare, usually during huricane season but it does break out there.
