Default The Melting Pot?

Anyone here ever eat at the local Melting Pot restaurant on Eastern? It's a semi fancy fondue restaurant. My friend in DC went to one with his gf, and I made a reservation for Friday. Anyhow, I'd like to hear what anyone thinks of it if you've been there before.

I've been to the melting pot quite a few times, and I really like it. Be prepared to be there between 2 and 3 hours, yes you're cooking your own food, and the portions are huge so you'll be really full at the end.

It's definitely one of those places you either like or don't like.

yeah I've been told all this. In fact I'm told that when you do the fondue deals, you're going to be overstuffed. I think I'm going to basically skip lunch that day

+1 I was pretty surprised at how good the food turned out to be. Definitely be prepared to be there for a few hours and come hungry.

I've been to the one on Eastern several times. My kids (18&20) love the place. The food is great and there is no shortage of it. Don't feel like you have to eat everything or you won't make it through the evening. This is a place where you can enjoy a meal with some friends. 2-hrs minimum but we usually end up closer to three.
