Default New Job

Hey guys, I just got hired a couple of weeks ago at my local honda dealer, let me know if I can help you guys in any way. We seem to get a lot of people coming up our way from Vegas since it seems that the prices are lower up here. We just leased a GPW to guy down there, he traded a Mazda 3 for it I should be getting another GPW in a month or two from Japan. If anyone is interested or knows someone who is (or in any other car), I would appreciate the business.

Thanks, Attila

Yep, same climate as you, but crappy tint laws. I just had to bribe someone to pass mine.

Business is pretty good, at least it seems that way to me, I'm new at all this selling cars stuff. And yeah, the tax rate is lower I think, in my town it's 6.25%.

If you purchase a vehicle out of state, you are still liable for the taxes needed to register the vehicle in the this state.

The only way to get away with it is to have a residence in a different state and register it there. That is the only way to save tax.

For instance, Montana doesnt have tax, but if you buy a car in montana and bring it here, you have to pay tax to nevada to register it here

One of my customers last week told me that they had a great offer on an Accord from a dealer in Vegas and that they were lower than us. This struck us as odd in the first place than he went on to say that the Vegas dealer had graciously included in HIS price the VIN number to be stamped on all body parts. I almost laughed when he said that and explained to him that that is something Hondas come with from the factory. His attitude towards our "higher" price changed as soon as he heard that. I've heard from a lot of people that they hate dealing with the dealerships down there for similar reasons. At least I wouldn't wanna buy my new car from people who lie from the start.

He must be talking about HondaWest...

Just so you know, they may have been talking about the window etching which is not factory...yes, the body panels are labeled.

The dealers out here all do the window etch....only thing is that the other two stores out here charge an extra 199-299 for it, whereas Desert has it as a pack in the profit
