pssst... it's an OEM hardtop (like 45lbs)... if he removes the softtop, then he'll drop like 20lbs off the car.
he already removed his soft top and all other interior pieces. it'll be like rolling in an ice chest once the temps drop to 40

methinks many better/cheaper platforms.

I didnt get an s2000 for comfort!!! however Im glad you guys like to keep yours the way YOU like it for whatever reason!!! my philosophy is simple. If you dont need it.. pull the shit out. It doesnt serve a purpose. I didnt get the car to resale or to turn on the heat and talk on my cell phone on the way to albertsons!!!. I got the car to maximize its potential. Or what I see as potential. The weight savings really is only partly my motivation to take everything out. I would honestly rather have it empty in there even if it didnt shed weight! I look at the car with different eyes. you would maybe have a small point if I was taking all the shit out and didnt do anything with the motor. Fact is, you dont know what im doing so why make a comment like... "methinks many better/cheaper"? just makes you look like a dumbass!!! IMO.

Im sure I could look at your car and tell you all the shit you did wrong with it etc!!! I dont, because I dont know what you like or for what purpose you made the decisions you made on your car!!!! I respect the fact that everyone doesnt think like me which is obvious! If there is anything I can do to make the car just slightly lighter/faster I will do it in a heartbeat!!! After all, there is no magical mod for the s2000, but when you start adding up all the small things it eventually makes a huge difference.

Whoa, nice editing there Michael Moore. Try quoting in the context of things... and in the context, it would seem the role would be reversed, in terms of "dumbass".

so, let me restate and clarify, since it was obviously missed:
If you're drag racing your S2000... I believe they are better/cheaper platforms to achieve similar goals.
If you're not, ignore the above comment. The end.

You obviously posted up for some kind of feedback, you got it, and are now on the defensive. No one said what you were doing was obnoxious, moronic, or illogical. No one was implying it either.

Im sure I could look at your car and tell you all the shit you did wrong with it etc!!!
Go ahead... but if you disagree with me, I'm not going to get agro about it.

If there is anything I can do to make the car just slightly lighter/faster I will do it in a heartbeat!!!
No one is saying either of those is in any way, shape, or form...bad.

Sorry for rattling your cage with such a harmless comment. Didn't think my opinions were so powerful and influential Good luck with whatever you do.

Alright children cut the crap or I'm closing the post

Back on topic: Can't wait to see how the car is when it's done. When is the estimated completion date?
