Default silverstate classic challenge

SSCC

that will give you an idea of what im talking about.

if you didnt already know about this, heres some info. id love to see some s2k's up here early next year. PM me if you have any questions. i was timing and scoring this event this weekend, and had a lot of fun. it was because of this website that i met the head timing guy. and was given the job i had, along with mike (boyracers2k).
we are big topspeedheads, and have learned alot, and enjoyed the fun of long distance top speed runs, in the last few years. well it seemed only natural that we end up at this race. and man was it sweet. ill be running in may and representing the s2k. we had alot of interest in the cars, and actually got interviewed with possibility of ESPN coverage.
there were some fast cars there, but mainly all V8s. i was shocked. the S does great at this. mike and i ran the course after the race, and went 110-130 the whole way. for anyone who has never done it, its an awesome feeling just staying in VTEC for that long. weird. needless to say, ill have some other stuff on my ride for this event, like an oil cooler before we run.
well. hope to see some of you there. dave

Dave, when Jay posted about it and told me you were interested I was a bit surprised and happy at the same time. First I was a bit shocked that this was new to you. These kind of races have been happening in NV for years man! Second I was fairly happy to hear you were getting involved cause I figured this was something you and Mike would really enjoy. It's nice to hear you had a good time. Maybe there is hope to turn you from a stoplight racer to a real racer afterall!

For those that have never seen or been to one of these I'd say it's something you really need to check out once in your life. A couple of the guys I do track days and autocross with have done it and everyone single one said it was one of the most fun things they've ever done. People drive form all over the nation to drive in these races. The people are great, the cars are cool, and best of all it's legal and safe!

lol.

you know im full outlaw. this is as outlaw as it gets. except they made it legal.
mike and i drove between 100-120, with a few blasts through 150 on the way there, and on the way back. there was NO ONE, on the road. well, except the 2 c5 vettes we ran into twice. that were very upset by us, as they ran us twice, and got waxed. LOL. either way, we had a ton of fun, and laughed so hard we were in tears most of the weekend. the cars ran great, and though i was in vtec 90% of the trip. burned not even 1/8th qt of oil. amsoil rules!
oh yeah, as for years, mike and i do this kind of racing almost every weekend. lates

legal racing?

by SRD?

blasphemy.

I rented a S2000 and raced a Scud missle from 60mph-150mph ... yeah, he lost.

BUT, the Silver State Classics is awesome, from what i hear. Most open road races are.... Id like to try one if i got a car that had a better gearing. It's definitely looks like a rush
