Default Someone cut my top

I'm here on business from Texas for a couple months and I woke up this morning to find that my top had been slashed. They disconnected the positive on my battery but I all I could tell that they stole was my GPS. I have a stock radio, thankfully I guess?

I didn't contact the police because I thought it would be useless. Was I wrong, because I guess I can still report it?

The crappy thing is the very day before I left from Dallas, yes I drove here, I replaced my old convertible top that had two small wear spots. Now a month later and it's ruined.

I have my insurance working on the claim now and already got an estimate from one of their body shops but I wanted to see if any of you who know this area could give me some advice on where to get my work done at. They are quoting me almost 1500 worth of work and my deductible is 480.

Crazy how something like this can instantly make you go from enjoying your stay to hating the city. I guess things could always be worse than just a slashed top so I'm sure I'll get over my hissy fit tomorrow.

If youd prefer to buy a hardtop, I have a Berlina Black hardtop for sale.

Thanks guys. Oh and Ro Ja Boy send me a pm on the hardtop price. Once I get my insurance money, hopefully Monday-Tuesday, I can start figuring out what to do.

And yes I am very thankful that all I lost was a GPS and top. Funny thing, I spilled a bottle of water on the GPS on the trip out here. The whole left side does not operate to touch now. Thankfully he can still type HOMO. Ha I'm starting to feel better already.

If you see a Berlina rockin a cardboard duct taped down top with Texas tags. Well, yep that's me!!

Like Dave said either myself or him can tackle the install or both can do it. Keep us updated.
