Hey guys... i figure this is the place to ask cause i know the guys at honda wouldn't know what to tell me... but sometimes my car makes a strange noise when i rev past 5k ... sounds like something is vibrating and it feels harsh.. uninviting! .. and it keeps doing that for a while and eventually stops and i can go to 9k with no issues. then for a long while it won't happen and then it comes back... i think it happens more when it's cold...but i may just be imagining. The vibration sounds metallic coming from the engine somewhere or something...

Any ideas?

strange thing was i got the car from an old guy with only 9k miles on it.. and it did it then.. it was very very well taken care of..

 

depends on what type of oil he used. If he used Mobil1, thats the culprit.

 

it's about $130.

 

hmm.. he used to get just regular oil ... i put in mobil 1 now... but it did it before i started...

what should i do instead...
