before someone post where to go on wensday just post yourself a meet for wensday and see who shows up. thats what i would do. no one really dictates where to go just post it up yourself. i would rather try a new place every week. i really dont care what side of town either. bww is good but it really isnt that good. to go there so many times. I tried something new like sammys and now i got a new place to go to. i want to try this winners circle also cause i never been. i think if its a chain restaurant then it also should be held in the central part of town. i live near green valley so yeah everything is closer to me but i think it would be fair to have it at jasons deli off of maryland since its more central. things like that should be kept in mind when this is thought out to keep it fair to are other friends that live on the other side of vegas

For the people that do not want to meet at Jason's Deli there is an alternative. A couple of the guys wanted to try out new places and this is a chance for the people on the West and Northwest to come to the meet.

Some of us are going to meet at:

Winners Circle Pizza & Pub
6085 South Fort Apache Road, Las Vegas, NV 89148
(702) 307-9467

Every one is welcome, see you all there. We will meet at 7:00.

Winner's Circle Pizza & Pub has the best cheese pizza I have ever tasted.
Their hotwings rock too. Here is a right up. They even boast Nascar and Indy on their big screens. They are big on horse racing too though.

Hemed sports bars have cropped up on nearly every street corner in recent years and doing something beyond the usual football and baseball bar is almost a requirement.

So when John Maietta and James Schneider teamed up, they looked to the racetrack and came up with Winners Circle Pizza & Pub, 6085 S. Fort Apache Road, in the growing southwest area of the valley.

Open a little more than a month, Winners Circle sports a simulated racetrack railing around the bar and gaming area, and a circular dining area with tables and booths. Jockey jerseys hang above the bar.

Along the walls are large racing photos and two 105-inch high-definition television screens. There also are five 42-inch high-definition monitors showing horse racing and other sporting events such as NASCAR and, of course, college and professional football.

"Horse racing is the sport of kings, always has been and always will be," says co-owner Maietta, who for the past 16 years has owned and operated Giovanni's Pizzeria. "It's exciting and glamorous and Las Vegas has always been a major city on the big racing days."

Maietta and Schneider, the former employee relations director of the MGM Grand, beverage manager of New York-New York and regional manager of the local Putters Bar and Grill, teamed up after the two got to know each other during Schneider's frequent visits to Giovanni's.

Winners Circle goes beyond the sports theme, Maietta says. "We wanted it to be attractive to the food consumer. There's a large nonsmoking area that's family-friendly."

The menu, which has a racing theme -- the appetizers section, for instance, is called the Starting Gate -- features some of the same items as Giovanni's, the majority of them homemade and all are Maietta's family recipes.

"A lot of bars are outsourcing their kitchens, but we wanted to be heads above the rest," Maietta says. "We'll never outsource our kitchen."

Breakfast items, salads, pizzas, hot and cold sandwiches, and Italian entrees are served 24 hours daily in the 161-seat venue.

Starters: Mozzarella sticks ($6.25); fried calamari ($7.95); chicken tenders with french fries ($6.95); and fried breaded ravioli ($6.95).

Salads: Jockey's Salad with ham, turkey and cheese on greens with olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, hard-boiled egg and croutons ($7.95); tuna salad ($7.95); and grilled chicken salad ($8.95).

Entrees: Lasagna ($10.95); eggplant parmigiana ($12.95); and baked cheese ravioli ($12.95), each served with a choice of soup or salad.

Halibut steak dinner with vegetables and choice of potato ($15.95); grilled chicken breast ($13.95); and New York steak dinner with grilled onions, mushrooms, vegetables and choice of potato ($16.95).

Extras: Pizzas come in 8-inch to 16-inch sizes ($5.95-$17.95 each). Specialty pizzas include pesto, traditional garlic white pizza and vegetarian ($10.95-$17.95 each).

Cold sandwiches include tuna ($6.95); Italian grinder with salami, ham, pepperoni, provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil and vinegar; and club ($6.95 each).

Hot sandwiches include veal parmigiana ($8.95); Philly cheese steak ($6.95); and top sirloin steak sandwich with an 8-ounce top sirloin topped with onion rings ($8.95).

Desserts: New York-style cheesecake ($3.75); cannoli ($3.95); zeppolis, 20 pieces of fried sweet dough with cinnamon, sugar or powdered sugar ($3.75); and tiramisu ($4.75).

How about you take the hijack to another thread so that you can coordinate with those people that want to join you without disturbing those that want to go to Jason's?

My bad, I meant to creat a new topic and didn't realize that I put it up on the same thread. No Hijacking intended.
