02 Gpw For Sale At Wiscasette Ford
in March I traded my 02 GPW S2K in on an 03 Silver Metallic SVT Cobra coupe. The check engine light had come on about a week before I traded it in, so following some advice on here I pulled the fuse for the engine computer, and it went away. Later as I was driving by the Ford dealership, I happened to stop in, and test drove the 03 Cobra, couple days later I bought it for 30,760. (not a bad deal, considering MSRP was 34,750 on it)
I got about 20K on the S2000, and it's still sitting there for 22,995. I found a spare set of keys for it(the S2000) and took them into the dealership about a week ago. Talking to the Salesman that sold me the Cobra, he said that the S2K had been to the Honda dealership 5 times on account of the check engine light
I went over to it, and inside the lower storage space was a diagnostic/work order from an Augusta Honda dealership, stating that they had swapped out 2 and 4 coils, and did some other work on it, and that it had a hard time starting and hesitated on takeoff..
When I traded it in, outside of that check engine light that had came on, there was NOTHING wrong with the car and it ran like a champ..
all I have to say, I wonder what they did to it, I'm guessing they put some crappy 87 octane fuel in it and screwed something up.. (I only ran 91+, and 93+ here on the east coast, and also only used Mobil 1 synthetic in it)
