Why do you bother to buy a stip that needs all those jumpers? Why not just buy a single row strip?

I didn't find single strips. I actually found that strip in the audio section at Radio Shack. A little extra work doesn't hurt me.

Rule one .. fuse everything you install

Rule two . Dont use those fuse taps to tap power from another fuse location as it was designed to handle what is already on it and you can hurt the fuse box .

Rule three never use T-taps in a car they can cut wires and cause shorts. I have seen them melt like crayons

As far as that location it will be fine for your gauges and even the boost controller. I would not put much more on it. There are three spots in the fuse box . One is 12v+ other is 12v switched and the last is Parking lights if you need a source to dim the gauges. If you need to carry high loads best to have a relay off the battery switched with the key . That will up the load to 40amps ( Which is not needed in your case )

When I come to you to have my eManage tuned next year, please do not look at my fuse box under any circumstances.

Dont worry . I am sure I have seen worse

Yeah, I spliced all my wires using bubble gum and rubber bands.

Harry........those are "scotch locks" I spoke about. Tap/solder/tape the blue and red scotch locks tapped into the yellow wiring. The others are actually fine as long as they are good crimps as it allows quick disconnect ability. Could do the same for the taps into the yellow wires by putting female connectors on there.

The issue is that those scotch locks don't hold up over time and wiggle loose and can cause shorts. They pop open etc. Might be good for a week/month even for the life of the car but their history is worse than my ex. You think it will work but likely it will end badly.

anything wire into the ECU should be soldered. Small resitance changes can change how the car runs. most of the time not for the better
