Default 30k service

Hi all,

30k is coming up for my S. Has anyone done a 30k? And if so, how much did it cost you? Did it include the tranny and LSD fluid?

Manchester honda is quoting $480, and Boch is quoting $380.

If you donate $225.00 to NES2KO Hurricane relief fund drive

I'll do your service

30k is nothing more than tranny, diff, oil change and check this, check that they MAY do a cabin filter change but i doubt it (they will charge you for it)

As a bonus, Steve won't put the wrong diff fluid in your car as a few Honda dealers have been known to do.

I will do the air filter. Of course, you have to supply one.

$480 !

Thats ridiculous! As Steve said, the 30k is nothing more than fluid changes and a filter change and oil/filter change. Easy to do. I did my 30k around June of this year.My mech did the diff and tranny fluid changes and i did the ac filter and oil change. If i remember right, it didnt cost me more than $100 or so. Of course, i went out and bought my own Mobil1 fluids. Sure beats the dealer and i made the appt 2 days earlier. Im in West hartford area BTW.

That price is crazy, not to knock anyone, but I would go to some auto place/ dealership to have it done only because Honda could void warranty if you do it yourself and something were to happen.

Just keep decent records and receipts for any maintenance you do yourself. I believe by law Honda can not require you to only use their facilities for non-warranty service.

buzzzz WRONG!!!

Honda can NOT void your warrantee if you don't use them

how do you think places like jiffy lube stay in business...

I've done over 50 fluid changes for the new england members - save the recipts and you're all set

To clarify... save the receipts of the oil and filter you purchased at the auto parts store... and you'll be all set

And yes... Honda can not deny warrantee for not having your car serviced by a dealership.

Notice I said "auto place/ dealership" meaning you will have a receipt. Auto place meaning anything that will document the work done. Apparently you did not understand what I said.
