I believe that disclaimer applies in any areas where road work is going on.

If it was on 495, Mass Highway is in charge of the project. Contact them as the town won't have anything to do with it.

Thanks!

As a matter of fact, I think I have a connection with the Mass Highway Department!

Just as a side note... years back my brother had 2 or 3 rims and tires get wrecked while they were building the 146 extention into Worcester. The construction company paid for new rims and tires for his car. They cut him a check. He had to surrender the damaged parts to get the check but they paid up.
In most cases when a road construction company bids a project like that they actually build a certain amount of money into the project for damage to cars during te project.

I would contact them and work it out... they usually do.

Jeff/Hard to top tells me the locale of the detail indicates it was Mass Highway doing the work.

I sent a fax to a contact I have there. Hope to hear from him tomorrow.

Trying to get money out of the state of Massachusetts?? I don't envy you.

Hope they ante up and reimburse you for the damage.

Worth a try. Won't loose sleep if it doesn't happen.

Absolutely, in my opinion they should pay for making the roads cause
damage to people's vehicles.

Masshighway does not do the work themselves. They subcontract it out. I suspect they will point Lainey to the company that was working that day.
