Default 68 in a 40....

Coming back home tonight..... No one on the road I am just jamming to the tunes and see the blue lights.

State Trooper pulls me over and asks me "Do you know why I pulled you over?"

I say no idea. He said don't worry bout it bud, just get me your license and reg, sit tight.

Comes back with $280 dollar ticker wraped around my license and walks right off. By the time I unwrap it, I see 68 in a 40

Ohh man almost 2 yrs no ticket and then this .

Did I speed? YES

Should I fight it? Let me know guys.

I'd say unless your license is full of prior tickets and you can't afford any more points just pay the fine.

Where were you? Rural backroads or metropolis?

Depending on location, that can be considered reckless endangerement due to 20+ mph over the posted speed. What does the ticket say?

Bad juju from laughing at the radar cops earlier in the day.

Did you really have no idea why you were pulled over? it depends on the individual cop but ones I know have said when you clearly are speeding and you say 'I have no idea why I was pulled over' to the cop they no longer have any desire to cut you any slack.

I was told to always send in tickets not guilty. If you pay the fine your telling them you admit to it and you were breaking the law. This came from a former state trooper/judicial marshall.

fight fight fight, i just fought a 360$ ticket for doing 91 in a 65 ticket as well as a passing on the right, on the masspike.

i deserved the speeding ticket, but the passing on the right was BS specially since it is legal to do so in mass. I got the 100$ passing on the right Tottally Knocked off. and then the guy took an additional 80$ off the speeding portion. so the 360$ ticket was reduced down to 180. worth it in my opinion. spent no more then 2 hours at the courthouse

I was on storrow across from memorial drive, state trooper was in one of those pull over pockets, he parked at very beginning of it hiding, I thought nothing of it. Didn't even pay attention to speed cuz it was so late. When i saw him I looked at speedo it said 68, I was like aah crap. As I drove by him my Valentine One LitUp telling me LASER. I already knew that he popd me and I can't do anything about a laser.

I agree I think it's Karma for makin fun of a cop on a motorcycle.

Edit: The ticket says.....

speeding 90/17 Civil 68 in 40 (Posted, Lidar, Estimated) $280

Well...If you can afford the time to dispute it, I would.

If you do nothing.....things remain as they are....

If you dispute it you may get a reduced fine/citation etc.

I'd try...
