warning thoughts

as I poured my organic, 1% milkfat, lowfat, milk onto my cereal....my brain twitched a little.

as a kid I can remember going to the grocery store an buying milk.
the had gallons and quarts of skim milk. thank you that was it.
I don't recall missing anything or feeling deprived by the lack of choice....

You did not feel deprived, but the milk companies felt deprived by not being able to charge more for essentially the same product with a fancier name.

 

I stopped to get a quart of milk today to bring to my office, and they only had whole milk. Haven't had that in years. YUCK! It was like drinking grease.

 

When we travel, if the hotel only has whole milk, I can't even tolerate it on my cereal. I'll take an orange juice, please, not on my cereal though.

 

I can't drink anything other than whole milk because to me it tastes like water with a bit of milk in it. Strange.

 

You get used to it. Whole milk has way more fat than anyone needs (except for babies under age 2). First you try 2%, then 1%, then skim. You DO get to the point that whole milk taste is just yucky.

 

why buy the milk when you can get the cow for free
