Default airbox?

i was reading somewhere about SPOON recomending that you cut the plastic divider that splits the airbox and plugging up the small box thats set off to the side to get better response(probably not noticeable) just wondering if ne one has gutted there airbox?

Yep. That was one of Rick's Mods. I have to say, even though I think it's a "guy thing"it does sound neat when he winds it out.

Scott at Ballistic installed it for us.

I have a Spoon intake and the gutted air box. You notice a slight improvement in throttle response but that can be due the the K&N drop-in air filter.

I'm really only hoping that this mod helps in the hot summer months by getting some cooler air to the engine.

The Spoon intake does fit in a AP2. It's tight but it fits. I was scared i was going to crack the carbon/kevlar but didn't.

Not sure if you can discribe sound , as they both go vroom

V1 will give more topend power .

V2 will gain you more midrange .

Hope this help some .
