Default Anticipating spring

Well as I'm preparing for spring I finally sold off my Password JDM intake and put my money down for another. I'll figure out how to drive a stick again come spring. Till then, more parts waiting to be installed and working on leg recovery.

Are you seeing progress with the leg?

Met again yesterday with my ankle surgeon (most damaged section), although he won't confirm/ guarantee, it will get better... it's not looking so good. He only said that it can continue to heal up to a year post surgery. It's been close to 7 months since this last surgery. They shot me up with a cortisone injection, hoping it will reduce the chronic pain. The next step would be another surgery. I'm still adamant on driving a manual again. I believe I'll manage mostly due to my S only being a weekend toy, not a DD. I'm also researching aftermarket clutches which would be performance oriented, but reduce the pressure (if possible?).

Good luck on the ankle recovery! Are you going to go with the Mugen intake?

Funny story Jim, I actually bought a replica Mugen intake and then this week I finally gave in an ordered an actual Mugen intake. Once I get the Mugen, I'll be selling the replica (never even used or installed it, just sitting by the car). To make it worse I even ordered a special carbon arm for the intake.

Docs do joint replacements all the time - why can't they just throw in a titanium ankle and be done with it. Now THATS a mod.

Do they even make replacement ankles? I don't think so.

Let's hope Josh's OEM equipment finally heals!

I wish they could just replace it, but the damage to the rest of the leg along with the nerve, ligament, tendon, and muscle damage was quite severe. For a while I was actually thinking of having it removed and replaced with a prosthetic.

You thought of having the foot removed??? Do you have, or would cadevar parts help if another surgery is required? Sounds icky, but I know a guy with cadeavar parts in his knee, though your injury is much more complex/severe.

When Rick trashed his shoulder they had a "pig patch" standing by. He was asked if he had any issue with pig parts in his body. They thought they would use it to repair his tendon. They didn't, but it likely wouldn't have helped. He had other extensive damage in there. Right arm has very limited movement. If a cop ever tells him to put his hands over his head, he's in trouble. He's very fortunate though, it doesn't hurt.
