Had a friend of mine build a house in Ludlow, MA and installed a wood pellet stove. She loved it and said that it put a huge cut in their utility costs.

My brother burned pellets for a while. He liked the technology but the pellets got too expensive to justify the trouble. Maybe he'll fire it up again if the oil prices stay high this winter.

my girlfriends parents ran one last winter non-stop and said the same thing.

he went through like 6 pallets, with maybe 10-12 bags on each pallet
But he still said it was cheaper
