Anyone Hiring?
Talk to me, people. I need a job like a crackhead needs a hit!
Seriously, if any of you know of any jobs for a freshly-minted MBA, preferably jobs in marketing management, but I'm defenitely looking at positions in other job functions as well (sales, business analyst, etc.), please let me know. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
The sooner I get a job, the sooner I can get my S. I've been dreaming about it for the last two years and now the dream seems so far away. (Not only is this an obligatory mention of the S2000 to bring some relevance to my post, but also a very true statement)
Again, any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Rough job market, rough economy, rough world. Believe me asking for a job from strangers is not really going to get you anywhere. It's a valiant attempt (it can't hurt right?) but when you look around most, if not all of us, have friends that probably have the same or better qualifications as you that are out of work right now. I know I do, and if I have a hard time helping them, I wouldn't think of helping a stranger before them. Frankly if you are out of work, the last thing you should be thinking about is how to find a way to pay for the car you want. Good Luck in your hunt, just keep beating down doors.
My .02.
If you can't find anything to apply for in your chosen field at your level of qualification, then take a step down, and then down again. It can be tough to do pride-wise, but it puts money in your pockets and keeps you in the ranks of the employed
When I got my MBA (back in the stone age of IBM Main Frame computers) there was nothing available in my field. I worked as a phone salesman and then I took a managers trainee job at U-Haul! And this was after I had already been a store manager at Speedy Muffler and a professional recruiter before I got the MBA! My area of concentration was Human Resources. No regrets. Everyone who knows me will tell you I've done just fine thank you.
Best bet is find a job outside your field if you can't find one inside your field within a reasonable time. You are better off working outside your field than not working at all. Even a job outside your field will probably give you some exposure to your area of expertise. As a store manager, I still had to hire, manage and fire personnel.
People look down their nose at Mc-Jobs, but it is still honest work and puts something on the resume. I've said my share of "may I help you"s and there was a valuable lesson in every one of them.
As for your situation, anything in sales is better than nothing on your resume. I'm not saying you have to work at Best Buy as a cashier, but working there as a managment trainee or department manager trainee would be a reasonable start in this economy.
As Turbo pwr said, we all have friends looking who we would help if we could. Still I'd help if I could. What will you take?
Good luck.
