Default Anyone interested in a Pumpkin Swap?

Here is the long story short. I swapped pumpkins with a fellow S owner years ago.(trading in his car) It had about 10K on the pumpkin at the time. I since put probably another 40K on it since. No issues at all and always kept her filled with Mobile 1 Diff oil. Loved it for years!!! Why am I not happy with it now? I now have an AP2 Tranny and the gearing is just a touch to high now.(torque is amazing) I thought it was always on the edge with the 4.77 but it was very livable and happy with my choice. Now........it's just a bit to much.

ScottyBallistic in NH would be the person to swap pumpkins for us as he has done it many times before. Actually he and another gear head helped me swap it the first time around.

We can work out the details but obviously I would like to swap with someone that has the stock 4.10 or maybe the 4.44. Also would really like it if you are the only owner of the car, it has always been filled with Mobile 1 or Red Line diff fluid(pref. a synthetic), 50K or less miles on diff and hasn't flogged their diff doing burn outs, donuts or clutch drops. It's a lot to ask I know but I know the cost of a brand new Pumpkin and want to be sure I get years of future use. I don't have any plans on selling this car. I will admit I blew mine up originally driving the Dragon in TN but that's because I didn't let it cool down enough and it was doomed from there.(learned my lesson!)

Please let me know if your interested. You can either post publicly or PM me personally and we can discuss privately on details. I have owned my S since Nov. 1999 and been an active community member since before there was a "community" to speak of.

Is it an AP1 Diff with a 4.77 or an AP2?

I believe it's an AP1 with 4.77's but I don't know the model year the car it came out of. I remember it was YELLOW if that helps.

Any way to tell the difference from the outside I can look.

reading your post i'd say you put about 60k+ miles on the 4.77s as you swapped with 50k on yours and and you're well over 100 now right??

damn that was a funny post to read again

Currently I have 108,210 miles on my S2000. Thus approximately ~50K maybe 60K on the pumpkin all together. Still running without issue and if I remember the higher the gearing the less stress it puts on the rotating parts. Up till the swap I put about 20-25K per year on the S as it was my daily driver. From 2004 forward it's been a 2nd car for me.

In the past 3 years I have put less than 3,500 on it each year. With new house and new baby it's been hard to juggle everything.
