Default Anyone into r/c helicopters?

The mechanic at work was flying one at lunch the other day and he got me into the hobby enough that I ordered a beginner's chopper. Should be here next week. Just wondering if anyone else here is into the electric helicopters too.

Here is the one I ordered and a video of how it supposedly flies:

I had a summer internship at Sikorsky Aircraft in 2002, and some people there were model helicopter enthusiasts. I was mildly interested in learning more, until I found out that some of them were custom building their own rotor heads with full blade collective adjustment, lead/lag adjustment, and rotational feathering.

I slowly backed away.

I have a micro rc helicopter. But I can't get into any more rc hobbies where I spend $$$ then get bored and never use it again.

Check out this video. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...99402901911766
