Default Anyone own a PS3?

Well i turned on my PS3 the other day trying to go online and it says that theres an update available. so i go and try to update it via the internet. after im halfway done it says that the data is corrupt!

so im like ok well the i checked what version i last updated to and its the v2.02. so im like ok well i have the latest version. so i tried going online but it tells me i need to update. at this point im like WTF so i tried to update it through the storage media to end up with the same result.

can anyone shed some light on my dilema before i do this to my PS3?

thanks

did you try unplugging the hard drive from the ps3? how about reformatting the drive itself?

for the xbox 360, all we had to do was clear the cache

Me too, I updated my ps3 with no problem at all this weekend. I also updated GT5:P, and I'm loving the additions to GT TV.

I've had no problems either. I'll check in a little bit. But the last one I did was just a few days ago and it went though with no trouble.

Have you tried again?
